Sablayan Occidental Mindoro, Philippines one of the most tourist destination in Occidental Mindoro. It is bounded to the north by the municipality of Santa Cruz and the municipalities of Baco, Naujan, Victoria and Socorro all in Oriental Mindoro province; to the east by the municipalities of Pinamalayan, Gloria, Bansud, Bongabong and Mansalay also in Oriental Mindoro; to the south by the municipality of Calintaan; and to the west by the Mindoro Strait.
How to Get Sablayan Occidental Mindoro
In a rush? Take a flight to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. On a budget? Ride a roll-on-roll-off (RORO) ferry from Batangas to Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro.
Either way, it’s it’s a two to three hour land trip to Sablayan upon arriving in Mindoro—van rentals from the Abra de Ilog port go for P200 per head.
via bus – Take a bus ride either from Cubao / Buendia terminal station en route to Batangas Port. Upon arrival, purchase ticket route to Abra de Ilog (Montenegro Lines / Besta Shipping Lines). From Abra de Ilog, options en route to Sablayan is another bus ride or take a van. Drop by to the Sablayan Ecotourism office to arrange boat ride going to Apo Reef.
via plane – Book a flight via Cebu Pacific en route to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro (55 min duration) and take another bus ride going to Sablayan.
via boat (Puerto Galera route) – There are limited scheduled trips in Balatero Port (Puerto Galera) route to Abra de Ilog. If coming from White Beach, take a tricycle ride going to Balatero Port, and upon arrival, you can directly purchase the boat ticket and sail straight to Abra de Ilog (schedule is limited – morning and noon trips only).
