Kaparkan Falls are also known as Mulawin Falls and are found in Sitio Kaparkan, Barangay Caganayan, Tineg in Abra Province. The best time to go to Kaparkan Falls are the months of August and September during the rainy season. Kaparkan Falls are approx 500 metres long and 60 metres wide, The Falls drain into the Tineg River.
Kaparkan’s multi-terraced limestone for about 500 metres from top to bottom. Lounge in one of its crystal clear pools or climb Kaparkan’s staircase. The limestone edges of the pools look slippery but are actually very safe to walk along barefoot.
How to Get Kaparkan Falls Tineg Abra Province | Mulawin Falls
From Manila, Abra is roughly 8 hours by bus. Partas, Dominion and Viron Bus have daily trips to Bangued, Abra from Manila. Bus station in Cubao at around 8:00 PM and I arrived around 4:00 AM in Bangued town.
From Vigan, Ilocos Sur you can also go to Abra by bus. Take a bus that will pass by the town of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur. Tell the driver to drop off to Abra. Alight at the highway intersection to Abra and wait for another bus there going to Bangued, Abra.
from Baguio, you can also go to Abra by bus. Partas Bus has daily trips to Bangued, Abra from Baguio City and vice versa.
If you arrive in Bangued by bus then take a tricycle to the DPWH Compound. then reserve a place on the Jeepney

Bangued is bordered by Ilocos Norte on the northwest, Apayao on the northeast, Kalinga on the mid-east, Mountain Province on the southeast, and Ilocos Sur on the southwest. it’s became popular because of beautiful and wonderful waterfalls which is located in Tineg Abra known as Kaparkan falls described as “terraced” because it is similar to some of the rice terraces view in Mountain Province.
