To go Buntot Palos Falls via public transport from Manila, you can either take take the Sta. Cruz (Laguna) bound bus from Cubao or Pasay, or the Infanta bound bus in Legarda. The former goes to SLEX while the latter traverses the backdoor that passes the towns of Rizal Province.
Bus from Manila ride a bus bound for Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Travel time is almost 2 hours. Get off the bus at the last stop.
From Sta. Cruz Laguna look for a jeep bound for Sinoloan and ask the driver to drop you off at Pangil Church. From there, rent a tricycle that can get you to Buntot Palos. Once you reach the jump-off point, you’ll see a barangay office. There, you will be asked for register, then look a tour guide for your trip.
Commute Via Rizal and Laguna: At Edsa Central Crossing, there are jeepneys going to Tanay, Rizal. Ride that jeepney and drop off point is Siniloan, Laguna. From Siniloan, Laguna, just ride a tricycle to Barangay Balian, Pangil, Laguna. Look barangay office and register and secure Guide at the Barangay Hall. Then look a tour guide for your trip and start the hike to Buntot Palos.
From Barangay Balian Outpost. Register at the outpost and ask for a guide. Guide fee is at P300 for a group of at most five people, no registration fee but they ask for donation. Alternatively, you may also register and get a guide at Pangil EcoPark at P100 per person. Expect to shell out not more than P1000 for this day trek.
