Abaling It’s considered an exotic delicacy that the Cagayanos and the Ibanags would cook this beetle worm into dried adobo (braised in vinegar, soy sauce and spices), ginisa (stir-fried in little oil with garlic), deep-fried, or roasted and served as pulutan (food served on drinking session).
Abaling, It’s kind of expensive but a best seller because it’s best as a kind of snack, and favorite pulotan (finger food) to go with drinks. It’s usually sold by the glassful in market or hawked around.
